General Product Description
Virsbolt 240 is used for tunneling, construction, and mining, especially when thicker material or higher strength is needed since the products have a load capacity of 53.95 kipf. The bolts are delivered in wall thicknesses between 0.091" - 0.118", and in bundles of 50 bolts.
Virsbolt 240+ is made of special steel and has undergone a precise annealing process to improve its elongation characteristics while maintaining a good load-bearing capacity. This gives it a better capacity to follow rock deformation by squeezing ground or high-strain concentration areas. Virsbolt 240+ could also be an alternative to Dynamic Rock Bolts since it can better absorb energy and be used at deeper levels in the mine.
Advantages of using Virsbolt:
-
Provides immediate and full support action
-
Accommodates large rock movements and still maintains its high load-bearing capacity
-
High deformability to accommodate ground movements in tension as well as in shear
